THE KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA (PARKING PLACES) AMENDMENT ORDER 1999

INCREASE IN ON-STREET PARKING CHARGES

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on 30th April 1999, made the above order, the general effect of which is as follows: In accordance with the Council’s established policy which is to encourage a higher turnover of visitor spaces and taking into account the increase in the rate of inflation since the tariffs were last reviewed, the rate for parking at pay and display machines situated in the streets listed in the Schedules to this notice will increase as detailed in the table below.

The minimum fee payable at all machines in all tariffs will be 20 pence. Copies of the Order which will come into operation for all purposes on 1st June 1999, and all other relevant documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date the Order were made in: The Traffic Section, Room 317, The Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, telephone 0171 361 2519. Any persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
