THE GREENWICH (BUS LANE) (AMENDMENT NO.  ) ORDER 199 THE GREENWICH (BUS STOP CLEARWAY) (AMENDMENT NO.  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 199 THE GREENWICH (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO.  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 199 THE GREENWICH (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.  ) ORDER 199

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The effect of the bus lane Order would be: (a) to designate bus lanes, operative between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week, on the lengths of Blackwall Lane specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) to designate bus lanes, operative between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week, on the lengths of Trafalgar Road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. The effect of the bus stop clearway Order would be to amend the Greenwich (Bus Stop Clearway) Traffic Order 1997 by designating bus stop clearways, operative at any time, on the lengths of Blackwall Lane specified in Schedule 3 to this notice. The effect of the prescribed routes Order would be: (a) to impose one-way working, from north-west to south-east, in that length of Colomb Street, which extends between its junction with Pelton Road and its junction with Trafalgar Road; (b) to impose one-way working, from south-east to north-west, in Whitworth Street. The effects of the waiting and loading Order would be to amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994 so as to: (a) change the times of operation of the existing waiting restrictions, on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 4 to this notice, to now operate between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week; (b) change the times of operation of the existing loading restrictions, on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 5 to this notice, to now operate between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week; (c) change the times of operation of the existing loading restrictions, on the lengths of Trafalgar Road specified in Schedule 5 to this notice, to now operate between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the week. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Orders being amended and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders, together with the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Engineering Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich, London SE18 6HQ. Copies of the proposed Orders and plans showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Council’s Agents, TMO Services, 4 Snell Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7SU, quoting Ref. LBG/1174, by 30th June 1999. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection.
