ABERDARE ROAD, GLYN ROAD, KINGSWAY AND SCOTLAND GREEN ROAD—REVOCATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS ABERDARE ROAD—REVOCATION OF LOADING RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield on 28th June 1999 made the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 142) Order 1999 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Order will be further to amend the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) Order 1994, so that: (a) the existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles, on the sale of goods and on advertising activities in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice imposed by the above mentioned Order of 1994 will be revoked: (b) the existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice imposed by the above mentioned Order of 1994 will be revoked. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 12th July 1999, of maps indicating the location and effect of the Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) Order 1994 (and of the Orders which have previously amended that Order) can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Traffic Engineering, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Gardner, Assistant Director (Operational Services) (the officer appointed for this purpose) Schedule 1 Removal of waiting restrictions Aberdare Road: (a) the north-west side, between a point 12 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Southbury Road and a point 7 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 Aberdare Road; (b) the south-east side, between a point 12 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Southbury Road and a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 1 Aberdare Road. Glyn Road, the north to south arm, the north-west side, between a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Southbury Road and a point 18.29 metres north-east of that kerb-line. Kingsway: (a) the north-west side; (i) between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 24 and 26 Kingsway and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 32 and 34 Kingsway; (ii) between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 76 and78 Kingsway and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 82 and 84 Kingsway; (b) the south-east side, between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 53 and 55 Kingsway and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 61 and 63 Kingsway. Scotland Green Road, the west side, from a point 3 metres south of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 21 to 31 and Nos. 33 to 43 Scotland Green Road southward for a distance of 20 metres.
