THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (POTTERSPURY, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (50 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 1999 VARIATION ORDER 199  

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on a length of the A5 Trunk Road at Potterspury in Northamptonshire.
The effect of the proposed Order would be to impose a 50 m.p.h. speed limit on the A5 between points 80 metres north-west of the Yardley Gobion Turn and 80 metres south-east of its junction with Puxley Road by varying the Order made in March 1999, which incorrectly described the length of the A5.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a copy of the Order to be varied, a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Northamptonshire County Council, Reception, County Hall, Guildhall Road, Northampton NN1 1AT; South Northamptonshire Council, Springfields, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 7AE; or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services (Midland), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection by a date not later than 9th September 1999, quoting Ref. HA 28/03/12.
