NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Cuprinol Ltd., of Adderwell, Frome, Somerset BA11 1NL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from 10 shallow boreholes between National Grid Reference ST7819 4710 and ST7824 4719, at Cuprinol Ltd., Adderwell, Frome, Somerset BA11 1NL. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 0.8 cubic metres per hour, 20 cubic metres per day, 7,300 cubic metres per year between 1st April and 31st March each year. The water will be used for pump and treat groundwater remediation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Cuprinol Ltd., Adderwell, Frome, between 26th August and 26th September 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environnent Agency, South West Region, North Wessex Area, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 4YS, before the end of the said period.
