Take notice that Essex and Suffolk Water plc, of Hall Street, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 0HH, is applying to the Environment Agency for the following: To vary licence number 7/35/2/G/83 which currently authorises abstraction from chalk boreholes as follows:

The proposal is to renew the authorisation to abstract from Holton at TM 3934 7723, which would otherwise cease from 31st December 1999. To renew the authorisation to abstract water currently undertaken via licence number 7/35/04/G/105 which is due to expire on 28th February 2000. This proposal is to abstract water from a chalk borehole at Little Glemham at National Grid Reference TM 3385 5896 at rates of 208 cubic metres per hour, 3,888 cubic metres per day and 1,135,150 cubic metres per year to be used for public water supply. Copies of the applications, maps and other documents submitted, may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at: Halesworth Library, Halesworth, Suffolk, and Saxmundham Library, Saxmundham, Suffolk, between 2nd September 1999 and 29th September 1999 inclusive. Any person who wishes to make representations about either of these applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period.
