DECLARATION OF NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE, PARISH OF STUDLAND, COUNTY OF DORSET

Notice is hereby given, in pursuance of section 19(3) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, that by the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve No. 3 Declaration 1999 made on 7th October 1999, the Nature Conservancy Council for England declared that the land having a total area of 611 hectares or thereabouts situated in the parish of Studland in the county of Dorset and shown hatched on Map 1 attached to the said Declaration, (which land was included in the Studland Heath National Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration, made by the Nature Conservancy Council on 21st September 1962 and the Studland Heath National Nature Reserve No. 2 Declaration, made on 27th November 1980), has ceased to be managed as a nature reserve by the Nature Conservancy Council for England. Notice is hereby also given, in pursuance of section 19 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, that by the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve No. 3 Declaration 1999 made on 7th October 1999 the Nature Conservancy Council for England declared that the land having a total area of 603 hectares or thereabouts situated in the parish of Studland in the county of Dorset and shown shaded grey on Map 2 attached to the said Declaration, is being held by The National Trust, a body approved by the Council, and is being managed as a nature reserve. Certified copies of the Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve No. 3 Declaration 1999 have been deposited for public inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours at the offices of Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset; Purbeck District Council, Westport House, Wareham, Dorset, and at the offices of the Nature Conservancy Council for England at Northminster House, Peterborough and Slepe Farm, Arne, Wareham, Dorset.
