NOTICE UNDER REGULATIONS 14 AND 16
TOWN AND COUNTRTY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 1999
Argent (L.I.F.E.) PLC hereby gives notice that it is the Applicant/Appellant in relation
to an application to Slough Borough Council (Slough Borough Council reference number
P/10792/000) which application is the subject of an appeal to the Secretary of State
for the Environment, Transport and the Regions under reference APP/J0350/A/99/1028567
for the development of land bounded by the A4, M25, M4 and Sutton Lane, Slough, known
as the proposed London International Freight Exchange, being a Freight Exchange including
(inter alia) road and rail freight interchange facilities (including road and rail
served distribution units, transit facilities and open storage facilities, internal
road and rail systems, sidings and connections to the Poyle Freight Line), parkland
and outdoor recreation facilities as described in the application and appeal.
Pursuant to Regulation 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Environment Impact Assessment)
(England and Wales) Regulations 1999, we give notice that an Environmental Statement
(which is a supplement to that (“The Environmental Statement”) submitted to accompany
the application to Slough Borough Council and to the London International Freight
Exchange (Modification) Order Environmental Statement) is being submitted in support
of the above appeal.
Copies of the above application and appeal and of the plans and other documents submitted
with them, together with a copy of the Environmental Statement, the London International
Freight Exchange (Modification) Order Environmental Statement and Supplement to these
Environmental Statements may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Section,
Slough Borough Council, at 5th Floor Wellington House, Town Square, Slough, and during
their usual hours of opening at the Langley Library, Trelawney Avenue, Langley, Slough,
at the Slough Central Library, High Street, Slough, and at the offices of Argent (L.I.F.E.)
Plc, 5 Albany Courtyard, Piccadilly, London W1V 9RB, from 22nd November 1999, until
11th January 2000.
Copies of the Environmental Statements as originally submitted (the Modification
Order Statement) and the Supplement to those Environmental Statements can all be purchased
at a cost of £150, £50 and £50 respectively at the offices of the Planning Section,
Slough Borough Council, at 5th Floor Wellington House, Town Square, Slough, for as
long as stocks last.
Any person wishing to make representation about the application should make them
in writing before 11th January 2000, to the Secretary of State for the Environment,
Transport and the Regions, at Tollgate House, Houlton Street, Bristol BS2 9DJ.
