THE BIRMINGHAM NORTHERN RELIEF ROAD (CHURCHBRIDGE TO BURNTWOOD SECTION—CHASEWATER) (SUPPLEMENTARY NO. 1) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER (NO. PS ) 200
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport
and the Regions in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the above-mentioned
Acts has prepared a draft Compulsory Purchase Order, entitled as above, which he proposes
to make, authorising him to purchase compulsorily:
(a) the rights described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of being used by
him in connection with:
(i) the construction of a new special road at Churchbridge in the district of Cannock
Chase in the county of Staffordshire, and Burntwood, in the district of Lichfield
in the county of Staffordshire in pursuance of The Birmingham Northern Relief Road
and Connecting Roads Scheme 1998;
(ii) the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means
of access to premises in the parish of Burntwood, in the district of Lichfield in
the county of Staffordshire, in pursuance of The Birmingham Northern Relief Road (Churchbridge
to Burntwood Section) Side Roads Order 1998;
(iii) use by the Secretary of State in connection with the construction and improvement
of highways and the execution of other works mentioned above.
Copies of the draft supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order and the plan referred
to therein, together with copies of the above-mentioned Special Road Scheme and Side
Roads Order, and copies of the made Compulsory Purchase Order, (Churchbridge to Burntwood
Section) (No. PS 2) 1998, all with their accompanying plans, have been deposited and
may be seen at all reasonable hours from 16th December 1999 to 13th January 2000,
at the Highways Agency, Project Services Division, Room 5/46 St. Christopher House,
Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE; at the offices of the Highways Agency, Broadway,
Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL; and at Norton Canes Library, Burntwood Road, Norton
Canes, Cannock; Burntwood and Chase Terrace Library, Sankeys Corner, Burntwood, Lichfield,
and Brownhills Library, Brickiln Street, Brownhills, Walsall.
Any objection to the draft Supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order must be made in
writing and addressed to the Secretary of State at the Highways Agency, Broadway,
Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL, not later than 13th January 2000, and should state
the grounds of objection and quote the Ref. HA/065/009/000107/1. In the preparation
of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind
that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other
people who may be affected by it.

to in the draft Supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order by means of the number shown
in brackets against that item in this Schedule;
(b) References to ownership are references to ownership or reputed ownership at the
time of the preparation of the draft Supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order and are
stated only for the purpose of identification of the land.

Land within the parish of Burntwood, in the district of Lichfield in the county of
Staffordshire
The right to construct a diverted access track and Public Footpath 0.160 (Brownhills),
all in 760 square metres of grassland, part of Public Footpath 0.160, part of access
track and part of Chasewater, forming public open space, all north of Brownhills West;
the right to remove a section of stopped up access track and reinstate the land, all
in 480 square metres of access track and verge, forming public open space, all south
of Chasewater; the right to remove a section of stopped up access track and reinstate
the land, all in 280 square metres of access track and verge, forming public open
space, all south of Chasewater; the right to divert Public Footpath 0.160 (Brownhills)
in 400 square metres of grassland and parts of access track forming public open space,
all south of Chasewater, (owned by Lichfield District Council) (81/360 a, 81/360 d, 81/360 q, 81,360 r ).
