NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Adam Carpets Limited of Greenhill Works, Birmingham Road, Kidderminster,
Worcestershire DY10 2SH is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial
number 18/54/6/24/G which authorises the abstraction of water from the Sherwood Sandstone
at National Grid Reference SO 8433 7750 at Greenhill, Kidderminster. The existing
licence authorises abstraction at 56,595 cubic metres per year and 260 cubic metres
per day. From 1st April 2000 the quantities of water authorised to be abstracted shall
not exceed 159 cubic metres per day and 34,095 cubic metres per year.
The variation being applied for is a temporary increase in annual quantity to 62,220
cubic metres for a period up to 1st September 2001 and to maintain the daily quantity
of 260 cubic metres. After this date quantities will reduce to 159 cubic metres per
day and 34,095 cubic metres per year.
On issue of this licence, authorised abstraction quantities under licence serial
number 18/54/6/298 in the name of Brintons Limited will be reduced from 177,320 cubic
metres to 165,320 cubic metres.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Adam Carpets Limited
between 21st January 2000 and 21st February 2000.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB before
the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
