THE ISLINGTON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2000, MADE ON 23RD JUNE 2000, COMING INTO OPERATION ON 24TH JULY 2000

The Council of the London Borough of Islington, in exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, and having undertaken the consultations required by regulation 3 of the Cycle Tracks Regulations 1984, hereby make the following Order: 1. The footpaths described in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 to this Order are hereby designated as cycle tracks. 2. This Order may be cited as the Islington Cycle Tracks Order 2000, and shall come into operation on 24th July 2000. Authorised Officer. Schedule 1 Segregated Cycle Track (a)  Wallace Road, the east footway, bounded on the west by a line 400 millimetres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road and with a width throughout of 2 metres: (i) from the southern boundary of Nos. 30 and 32 Wallace Road to a point 17 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road; (ii) from a point 15.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road southward for a distance of 8.5 metres; (iii) from a point 0.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road northward for a distance of 3 metres. (b)  St. Paul’s Road, the north footway, bounded on the south by a line 0.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road, and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 400 millimetres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road, to a point 7 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road. (c)  St. Paul’s Road, the south footway, bounded on the north by a line 800 millimetres south of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 5.5 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road to a point 1 metre east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Canonbury Park North. (d)  Canonbury Park North, the south-east footway, bounded on the north-west by a line 1.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Canonbury Park North and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 800 millimetres south-west of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road, to a point 5 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road. (e)  Canonbury Park North, the south-east footway, bounded on the north-west by a line 1.5 metres in the north and 1 metre in the south, south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Canonbury Park North, from a point 8 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road, south-westward for a distance of 14 metres. Schedule 2 Segregated Shared Cycle Track/Footway (a)  Wallace Road, the east footway, bounded on the west by a line 400 millimetres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road with a width throughout of 2 metres: (i) from a point 15.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road northward for a distance of 1.5 metres. (b)  St. Paul’s Road, the north footway, bounded on the south by a line 0.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 7 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road eastward for a distance of 1.5 metres. (c)  St. Paul’s Road, the south footway, bounded on the north by a line 800 millimetres south of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 5.5 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road eastward for a distance of 1.5 metres. (d)  Canonbury Park North, the south-east footway, bounded on the north-west by a line 800 millimetres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Canonbury Park North and with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 22 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road south-westward for a distance of 1.5 metres. Schedule 3 Unsegregated Shared Cycle Track/Footway (a)  Wallace Road, the east footway, bounded on the west by a line 400 millimetres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 33.5 metres north of the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road northward for a distance of 3.5 metres. (b)  St. Paul’s Road, the north footway, bounded on the south by the northern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road with a width ranging from 3.5 metres in the east to 5.5 metres in the west, from a point 8.5 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road eastward for a distance of 6 metres. (c)  Canonbury Park North, the south-east footway, bounded on the north-west by a line 1.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Canonbury Park North with a width throughout of 2 metres, from a point 5 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road south-westward for a distance of 3 metres. (d)  St. Paul’s Road, the south footway, bounded on the south by a line drawn 4.5 metres south of and parallel to the southern kerb-line of St. Paul’s Road with a width ranging from 3 metres in the east to 4 metres in the west, from a point 7 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wallace Road eastward for a distance of 5.5 metres. 23rd June 2000.
