THE HARINGEY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 2000
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, on 10th August 2000, made the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to further amend the Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1994 so that waiting by vehicles between Monday to Friday during the hours of 0800 and 1700 hours, would be prohibited on a section of the south side of Church Road, from a point 56.5 metres west of the western kerb-line of High Road, London N17, westward for a distance of 12 metres. The general effect of Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order would be to further amend the Haringey (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1994, so that vehicles would be prohibited from stopping between Monday to Friday during the hours of 0800 and 1630 hours, on a section of the north side of Church Road, from a point 36.5 metres west of the western kerb-line of High Road, London, N17, westward for a distance of 31.56 metres. Details of exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the Original Orders of 1994. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 14th August 2000, of the above-mentioned Orders of 1994, (and of the Orders which have previously amended those Orders, where applicable), of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and a plan showing the locations and effects of the Orders may be inspected, during a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, during normal office working hours, at Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey, London N8. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
