Notice is hereby given under paragraph 6(2) of Schedule 11 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (“the Act”), that the Secretary of State, having considered the objections and representations duly made in respect of the above-named Order and the report of the person appointed to hold a public inquiry, has considered the above-named Order, and does not propose to amend or revoke it. In consequence, the Order, which took effect on 23rd November 1999, will continue in force. The general effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from carrying out the operations specified in Schedule 2 to the Order on the land described in Schedule 1 to the Order (an area of some 3.5 hectares of land within the St Leonards and St  Ives Heaths Site of Special Scientific Interest, the exact delineation of which is set out on the plan referred to in the Order).
