UNIVERSITIES OF OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE ACT 1923

A Statute made by the University of Oxford, on 28th November 2000, amending Statute XVI, has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923. The purpose of the amendment is to extend eligibility for the Eldon Law Scholarship and to add a clause permitting Congregation to make subsequent amendments to the Statute, provided that the main object of the founder is always kept in view.
