COAST PROTECTION ACT 1949

The Dover District Council, action in their capacity as Coast protection authority hereby give notice, under subsection (i) of section 5 of the above Act, that they propose to carry out coast protection works as described herein at Oldstairs Bay, Kingsdown, Deal, Kent. The work will consist of; the construction of a rock revetment with concrete accesss steps and timber splash wall, together with 3 timber groynes. The estmated cost of the work is £1.4 million. Any person may, not later than 12th April 2001, serve a written notice of objection to the above proposal on the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and on the above-mentioned authority. Any such notice must contain a statement of the grounds of objection and must be sent by pre-paid post to Flood and Coastal Defence with Emergencies Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Eastbury House, 30-34 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TL, and to the Chief Executive of the authority at Dover District Council, White Cliffs Business Park, Dover, Kent CT16 3PG. 15th March 2001.
