Notice is hereby given that Public Local Inquiries in connection with the Orders mentioned below will be held by an independent Inspector appointed for the purpose by the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions beginning at 10.00 am on Tuesday 4 September 2001, at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Blackpool Borough Council, Blackpool FY1 1GB, to hear representations from statutory objectors (as defined in the Compulsory Purchase by Non-Ministerial Acquiring Authorities (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 1990), from any other persons having an interest in the land the subject of the Compulsory Purchase Order or the making of the proposed Order to stop up lengths of Bispham Road and Robins Land (Bridleway) in Blackpool and Wyre, and at his direction, to hear representations from any other persons who may desire to appear and be heard. The Orders are Orders which have been made by Blackpool Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts and submitted to the Seretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions for confirmation and are: The Blackpool Borough Council (North East Blackpool Link Road) Compulsory Purchase Order 2001. This is an Order under sections 239, 240, 246, 250 and 260 of the Highways Act 1980, which, if confirmed, will authorise Blakpool Borough Council to purchase compulsory for the purpose of: (a) the construction of a highway between Moor Park Avenue and Norcross Lane at Cleveleys in the borough of Blackpool and Wyre in the county of Lancashire; (b) the construction of highway south of the Norcross Lane roundabout to connect the above mentioned highway with the existing road system at Bispham Road; (c) the improvement of Norcross Lane, Warren Drive and Bispham Road; (d) the provision of new means of access to premises; (e) the diversion of a watercourse and the carrying out of other works on watercourse in connection with the construction and improvement of highways; (f) use by the acquiring authority in connection with the construction and improvement of highways, the diversion of a watercourse and the provisions of new means of access to premises as aforesaid; (g) the improvement or development of frontages to the above mentioned new and existing highways or of the land adjoining or adjacent thereto; and (h) mitigating the adverse effect which the existence or use of certain of the highways proposed to be constructed or improved as mentioned in this Order will have on the surroundings thereof. The Borough of Blackpool (North-East Blackpool Link Road) Road Scheme (Stopping-up of Highways) (No ) Order 200 .This is an Order under sections 248 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, which, if confirmed, will authorise the Blackpool Borough Council to: (a) provide a new highway; (b) improve the existing highways; and (c) stop up lengths of highway and bridleway. all on or in the vicinity of the route of the Main Highway which the Council propose to construct between Moor Park Avenue in the south the Norcross Lane/Warren Drive in the north at Cleveleys in the boroughs of Blackpool in Wyre in the county of Lancashire. Copies of the above-mentioned Orders and of the plans referred to therein have been deposited and may be seen at all reasonable hours, free of charge, at the General Enquiry Centre, Blackpool Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool and at the reception to the Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Flyde. Copies of any proofs of evidence, sent to or by the promoting authority are also available for inspection at the offices of Blackpool Borough Council from 14th August 2001.
