NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Three Valleys Water plc of PO Box 48, Bishops Rise, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9HL, is applying to the Environment Agency to renew licence serial number 29/38/6/95, as per the existing variation which expires 31 December 2001. This authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata (chalk) from two boreholes located at National Grid Refs TL 4119 1022 and TL 4109 1012 at Roydon Pumping Station. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 908 cubic metres per hour, 15,909 cubic metres per day and 4,991,895 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for public water supply. A copy of the application and related documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Three Valleys Water, Harlow Area Office, Redricks Lane, Sawbridgeworth between 1 August 2001 and 1 September 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Groundwater and Licensing Manager, Environment Agency, Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading RG1 8DQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
