LARSSENS MARITIME SERVICES LIMITED STAFF RETIREMENT AND DEATH BENEFITS SCHEME
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Following the decision to wind up the Larssens Maritime Services Limited Staff Retirement
and Death Benefit Scheme (“the Scheme”), which became paid up on 31 October 1990,
the Trustees of the Scheme are finalising a list of those individuals who may be entitled
to pensions and other benefits under the Rules of the Scheme. They have already written
to Members for whom they have records, but would like to contact any individuals who
may be entitled to benefits, and of whom they are unaware. If you fall into any of
the following categories, you could be entitled to pension and other benefits: former
employee of LMS Distribution Limited or Larssens Maritime Services Limited; a current
or former member of the Scheme mentioned above; a widow/widower of a Member of the
Scheme; or a child or dependant of a Member of the Scheme. If you think you may be
entitled to benefits, you should contact Emma Ferguson, at William M Mercer Ltd, Mercer
House, Thames Side, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 1QN. You will be sent a claim form, which
you must return and complete by the closing date, 3 October 2001. If you have already
received a letter from the Trustees, there is no need for you to contact Emma Ferguson.
Please remember if you do not notify us of your claim by 3 October 2001, you may lose
any rights you might otherwise have to claim benefits.
