NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO APPLY FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Compair UK Ltd, of Ranelagh Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP2 0AQ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a chalk borehole at National Grid Ref TM 1541 4400, in the parish of Ipswich, in the district of Ipswich in the county of Suffolk. This is to vary licence No 7/35/10/*G/0039, to permit an increase in the daily rate and annual quantity to be abstracted. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 312 cubic metres per day and 60,000 cubic metres between January and December each year. The water will be used for non-evaporative cooling. A copy of the application and any map plan or other documents submitted may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at ECP Group, 103 Burrell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP2 8AD, between 11 October 2001 and 8 November 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
