NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Clariant Life Science Molecules (UK) Limited of Hayes Road, Cadishead, Manchester M44 5BX, is applying to the Environment Agency Wales to vary licence serial number 24/67/10/112 which authorises the extraction of water from groundwater, 55 metres deep, 200 millimetre diameter borehole into glacial sands at National Grid Ref SJ 3376 6742, at Clariant Life Science Molecules (UK) Limited, Sandycroft Works. The variation being applied for is to increase the maximum quantity of water to be abstracted to 13.64 cubic metres per hour, 327.36 cubic metres per day and 119,813 cubic metres per year at a Peak Instantaneous Rate of 3.8 litres per second. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Clariant Life Science Molecules (UK) Limited, Sandycroft, Deeside, Flintshire between 26 October and 26 November 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency Wales, Llwyn Brain, Fford Pelan, Parc Menai, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 4DE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
