NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd, Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of Total Fitness UK Ltd, c/o Kingsley Fereday Management Ltd, Wilmslow Way, Handforth, Wilmslow SK9 3PG, is applying to the Environment Agency for licences to abstract water from boreholes at the following sites: 1. Total Fitness UK Ltd, Waters Meeting Road, Back O’Th’Bank, Bolton, Lancashire, at National Grid Ref SJ 7170 1051. 2. Total Fitness UK Ltd, Caton Road, Lancaster, Lancashire, at National Grid Ref SD 491 637. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates at each site: 20 cubic metres per hour, 250 cubic metres per day and 50,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for commercial leisure centre use. A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above addresses marked 1 and 2, between 14 November 2001 and 14 December 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North West Region, Lutra House, Dodd Way, off Seedlee Road, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8XB, before the end of the said period.
