A Statute made by the Governing Body of New College, in the University of Oxford, amending Statutes II, IX and X, has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923. The purposes of the amendments are: (Statute II) to allow the Warden,,with the concurrence of the Visitor, to take sabbatical leave, or to be otherwise absent on College business, and to provide for the election of an Acting Warden to act in his place; (Statute IX) to permit the Acting Warden to serve on the same terms as other College Officers; and (Statute X) to act in the Warden’s place at Meetings.
