ELAN TRANSDERMAL TECHNOLOGIES (UK) LIMITED PENSION SCHEME
(Previously called the Ethical Holdings Pension Scheme)
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
This notice concerns you if you are an employee or were a former employee including a part-time employee of Elan Transdermal Technologies (UK) Limited (or Ethical Holdings) or widow/widower, child or other, dependent of such former employee. The Elan Transdermal Technologies (UK) Limited Pension Scheme (“The Scheme”) is being wound up. This means that the Trustees of the Scheme need to establish exactly who are the beneficiaries of the Scheme, and their entitlements to benefits, so that the Trustees can arrange for the assets of the Scheme to be used to provide pensions and benefits due to the beneficiaries. If you think that you may have a right to benefit under the Scheme, you should write to the Trustees of the Scheme, giving your full name, present address and date of birth, c/o Stephen Sadler, William M Mercer, Westgate House, 52 Westgate, Chichester, West Sussex PO19 3HF, before 29 January 2002, after which date the Trustees of the Scheme will proceed to apply all remaining assets of the Scheme in securing the liabilities attributable to the persons so entitled. If you do not notify the Trustees of the Scheme of your possible rights to benefits before 29 January 2002, you will lose any rights you may have to claim those benefits and the Trustees will not be liable for any sums so applied to any person or persons of whose claims or demands they have not had notice. S F Sadler, on behalf of the Trustees of the Scheme
