WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88
Notice is given, as required by Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that
the following application has been made to the Environment Agency, South West Region.
Bovisand Park Ltd has applied for Consent to Discharge from Bovisand Park, Bovisand,
Plymouth. The discharge consists of sewage and trade effluent arising from holiday
accommodation at Bovisand Park. The discharge passes through a septic tank and partial
soakaway prior to being discharged into the sea. Part of the discharge from Bovisand
Park is already authorised to be discharged at this point. It is proposed that the
sewage and trade effluent from the rest of the site, which is discharged at present
to an unsatisfactory soakaway close to Bovisand Bay, will be pumped to this discharge
point. The impact on the bathing water quality at Bovisand Bay should be decreased
as a result of this proposal.
