NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that HMD Holdings Ltd, of Highfield Farm, Paley Street, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 3JS, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) borehole at National Grid Ref SU 8747 7680, at Highfield Farm, Paley Street, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 3JS.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 10 cubic metres per hour, 192 cubic metres per day and 19,200 cubic metres between the months of April and October each year. The water will be used for polo field irrigation.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Highfield Farm, between 20 May 2002 and 14 June 2002.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Thames Region, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
