NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Liverpool City Council of Parks & Environment (Operations), The Coach House, Calderstones Park, Liverpool, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole into sandstone, at National Grid Ref SJ 3660 9520, at Walton Hall Park in the City of Liverpool. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 18 cubic metres per hour, 204.7 cubic metres per day and 37,476 cubic metres per year, each year. The water will be used for recreational purposes—filling of boating lake in the park. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Notice Board at Walton Hall Sports Centre, Walton Hall Avenue, Liverpool, between 4 July 2002 and 11 August 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North West Region, Richard Fairclough House, Knutsford Road, Warrington WA4 1HG, before the end of the said period.
