NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that J A Clark of White Post Farm, Farnsfield, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG22 8HL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the underground strata (Triassic sandstone’s) at National Grid Ref SK 6200 5690 at Lurcher Farm, Nottinghamshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 1,200 cubic metres per day and 47,500 cubic metres per year, between 1 April and 31 October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation purposes. Please note that this application is to effectively renew the operations under this licence, which are due to expire on 31 October 2003. No increase in abstraction rates, volumes or period will occur under this application. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at White Post Farm, Farnsfield, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG22 8HL, between 29 August 2002 and 25 September 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
