Brake Bros plc Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme (“the Scheme”)

(formerly Brake Bros (Poultry Packers) Limited Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme)

NOTICE TO CREDITORS AND BENEFICIARIES FOR CLAIMS UNDER TRUSTEE ACT 1925 SECTION (27)(1)

Brake Bros plc has rationalised the Group’s Pension arrangements and in April 2001 merged the Cearns & Brown Limited Retirement Benefits Scheme and the Brake Bros plc Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme, to form the Brake Bros plc Pension Scheme. All known assets and liabilities of the Brake Bros plc Retirement and Death Scheme were transferred to the Brake Bros plc Pension Scheme. All known Members including deferred and pensioner Members were contacted by the Trustees to advise them of the changes. This formal notice is being issued in accordance with section 27 of the Trustees Act to all Creditors who may have a claim under the Brake Bros plc Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme or any other person who believes that they are a beneficiary under the scheme and has not been contacted by the Trustees, or Aon, about the changes to the scheme. If you have not been contacted by the Trustees or Aon, please send written evidence and relevant backing papers to Ian Herbert, Aon Consulting, 17th Floor Leon House, 233 High Street, Croydon CR0 9XT, within two months of this notice, with details of your Brake Bros plc Retirement and Death Benefit Scheme membership, including the date you joined the scheme and left the scheme. After the two-month deadline the Trustees will not be liable for any claims in respect of the scheme.
