A Statute made by the Governing Body of St Catherines’s College, in the University of Oxford, amending Statutes I-IX and XII, has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923. The purposes of the amendments are: (a) to provide a statement of powers and duties in relation to Junior Members of the College that is in accord with the requirements of modern law; (b) to state the functions of particular College Officers more clearly and to provide a degree of flexibility between the functions of the Bursars; (c) to adopt changes of terminology within the University; (d) to remove provisions that have become obsolete; (e) to clarify two particular matters in relation to voting in the Fellowship.
