A Statute made by the University of Oxford, amending Statute VI, has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923.
The purpose of the amendment is to establish a procedure under which the University’s Council, or one of its main committees, may, by a resolution carried by not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting, suspend the operation of a regulation to cover some specific case.
