NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE ALTERATION OF A LOCAL PLAN

GREAT YARMOUTH BOROUGH-WIDE LOCAL PLAN PROPOSED ALTERATION NUMBER 1
Great Yarmouth Borough Council have prepared proposals for the alteration of the above plan, allocating land for housing that fronts Thrigby Road, Filby, Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. If, and when, these proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the area of Great Yarmouth Borough Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection at: Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Planning and Development Department, Maltings House, Malthouse Lane, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR31 0GY. Great Yarmouth Borough Council, One-Stop-Shop, Town Hall, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR30 2QF. Free of charge from Monday to Thursday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, and Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm between Friday 10 January 2003 and Monday 24 February 2003. Copies of the proposal are also available for public inspection at: The Post Office, Main Road, Filby, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR29 3AA. Free of charge from Monday to Sunday, 6.00 am to 9.00 pm between Friday 10 January 2003 and Monday 24 February 2003. Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to: Mr M P Dowling, Borough Planning and Development Officer, Planning and Development Department, Maltings House, Malthouse Lane, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR31 0GY, tel (01493)-846430, fax (01493) 846110 before 4.30 pm on Monday 24 February 2003. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the six week period ending 24 February 2003 will have the right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing. If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, Great Yarmouth Borough Council intend to adopt the proposal on the expiry of that period.
