NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

This notice is addressed to former employees of H G Barham Ltd/John Mansfield Timber Ltd. The John Mansfield Timber Ltd Retirement Benefit Scheme (formerly H G Barham Ltd Retirement Benefit Scheme) is being wound-up with effect from 31 March 1996. If you were an employee of H G Barham Ltd at the time of the sale of the business to John Mansfield Timber Ltd (during 1995) and were a member of the Scheme, and think you are still entitled to benefits under the Scheme but have not been notified of your benefits, or you are a widow, widower, child or dependant of such an employee, please contact the Trustees of The John Mansfield Timber Ltd Retirement Benefit Scheme c/o Mrs J Lawrenson, communisis plc, Wakefield Road, Leeds LS10 1DU. You should include details of your current address and any benefits you think your are entitled to and write not later than 31 March 2003. It is the Trustees’ intention to distribute the assets of the Plan to provide benefits for its members, beneficiaries and pensioners as soon as possible. If the Trustees are not aware of your entitlement under the Plan before 31 March 2003, they will not be liable to pay benefits to you. If you already receive a pension from the Scheme, or you have received a letter from Joanne Lawrenson dated 15 October 2002 you do not need to write to the Trustees as they already have full details about your entitlements.
