NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Three Valleys Water plc of PO Box 48, Bishops Rise, Hatfield, Hertfordshire
AL10 9HL is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from
underground strata (Unconfined Chalk) from two exisitng boreholes located at National
Grid Refs TL 082 008 and TL 083 007, at Hunton Bridge, Hertfordshire. This additonal
volume is to be considered in association with the revocation of licence 28/39/28/122
from Kings Langley.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 125 cubic metres per hour,
1,500 cubic metres and 549,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for public
water supply.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Watford Central Library,
between 14 April 2003 and 14 May 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Team Leader WR Regulation, Isis House, Howbery
Park, Wallingford, Oxford OX10 8BD, before the end of the said period, quoting the
name of the applicant.
