HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

Notice is hereby given that an application will be made at Witham Magistrates’ Court, The Court House, Newland Street, Witham, Essex by Chelmsford Borough Council (acting as agent for the Highway Authority), on Monday 9 June 2003, at 10.00 am, for an Order, under section 116 of the above-mentioned Act, authorising the stopping-up of certain highway land fronting Nos 8 to 14 Church Road, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex, on the ground that it is unnecessary. The effect of the proposed Order and the length of highway to be stopped up are shown on a plan on deposit at the address below. On the hearing of the application any statutory undertaker having apparatus under, in, upon, over, along or across the length of highway, the owners and occupiers of the land adjoining the length of highway, any person who uses the length of highway, and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for shall have a right to be heard. Any person requiring further information should call at the Civic Reception, Civic Centre, Duke Street, Chelmsford during normal office hours.
