A Legislative Proposal regarding the governance structure of the Botanic Garden has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923; The purpose of the Proposal is to replace the present body of Curators with a new body of Visitors on which external members will be permitted.
