A Legislative Proposal regarding the Griffith Institute has been submitted for the approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of its having been submitted is published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923; The purpose of the Proposal is to transfer responsibility for the Griffith Institute for Egyptology and the A H Gardiner Settlement for Egyptological Purposes, from the Ashmolean Museum to the faculty board.
