NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Pertwood Partners, of Lower Pertwood Farm, Hindon, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP3 6TA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Greensands, at National Grid Ref ST 8739 3980, at Field Barn Farm, Longbridge Deverill. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 3 cubic metres per hour, 32.2 cubic metres per day, 11,600 cubic metres per year, between 1 April and 31 March each year. The water will be used for private water supply, spray irrigation and agriculture, providing water for organic livestock. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Lower Pertwood Farm, Hindon, between 12 June 2003 and 12 July 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Rivers House, Sunrise Business Park, Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford Forum, Dorset DT11 8ST, before the end of the said period.
