THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 85) ORDER 2003

BAYSWATER ROAD, BROOK STREET (PADDINGTON), CLARENDON PLACE, ELMS MEWS, GLOUCESTER TERRACE, HYDE PARK STREET, LANCASTER TERRACE, STANHOPE TERRACE, SUSSEX GARDENS AND WESTBOURNE STREET

1. Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 2 July 2003, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to: (a) increase the waiting restrictions to apply “at any time” on the lengths of streets referred to in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) increase the waiting restrictions on single yellow lines in Bayswater Road to apply between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive (with the exception of those lengths referred to in Schedule 1 to this notice and the north-west side of Bayswater Road between Albion Street and that part of Bayswater Road controlled by Transport for London); (c) increase the existing waiting restrictions on single yellow lines in Lancaster Terrace and Westbourne Street so that in the lengths of those streets referred to in Schedule 2 to this notice, waiting will be prohibited between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive; (d) increase the existing loading restrictions that apply in Bayswater Road, Gloucester Terrace, Lancaster Terrace and Westbourne Street so that in the lengths of those streets referred to in Schedule 3 to this notice loading will be prohibited between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive; (e) increase the existing loading restrictions that apply in Bayswater Road, Lancaster Terrace and Stanhope Terrace so that in the lengths of those streets referred to in Schedule 4 to this notice loading will be prohibited between 7.00 am and 10.00 am and 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive; (f) increase the existing loading restrictions that apply in Bayswater Road, Brook Street (Paddington), Clarendon Place, Hyde Park Street, Lancaster Terrace, Sussex Gardens and Westbourne Street so that in the lengths of those streets referred to in Schedule 5 to this notice loading by vehicles will be prohibited “at any time”. 3. The Order, which will come into force on 4 July 2003, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 13 August 2003. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 13 August 2003.
