NOTICE UNDER PARAGRAPH 8 OF SCHEDULE 16 TO THE SAID ACT

Notice is hereby given that Clay Cross Building Society, Register No 128B, whose principal office is at Eyre Street, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S45 9NS, desires to transfer its engagements to Derbyshire Building Society, Register No 165B, and that each Society has applied to the Financial Services Authority to confirm the transfer.
Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire Building Society, Register No 165B, whose principal office is at Duffield Hall, Duffield, Derby DE56 1AG, desires to accept a transfer of the engagements of Clay Cross Building Society, Register No 128B, and that each Society has applied to the Financial Services Authority to confirm the transfer.
Any interested party may make written representations to the Authority and/or give notice of intention to make oral representations to the Authority with repsect to the application. Written representations and notices of intention to make oral representations should be received by the Authority at 14th Floor (Team 3), 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS, or by email to barbara.purkiss@fsa.gov.uk by 14 October 2003. If notice is given of oral representations these will be heard by the Authority on 30 October 2003, at a time and place to be determined by the Authority.
