NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A MINERALS LOCAL PLAN HERTFORDSHIRE MINERALS LOCAL PLAN 1991-2006

Hertfordshire County Council have prepared proposals for the replacement of the above plan. If, and when, these proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the area of Hertfordshire County Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the proposals contained in the Minerals Local Plan Review 2002-2016 2nd Deposit Draft are available for public inspection at County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, free of charge, on Mondays to Fridays between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, and at your local district/Borough Council office—please call their offices for opening hours. Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to the Head of County Development Unit, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford SG13 8DN, before 5.00 pm on Monday 24 November 2003. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the ground on which they are made. Objections can only be made regarding the changes that have been made (ie as a result of a previous objection). The County Council will not accept representations that should have been made at the first stage deposit. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the week period ending on Monday 24 November 2003 will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing. If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections Hertfordshire County Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
