MAXWELL COMMUNICATION PENSION PLAN

(formerly called The BPCC Staff Pension and Life Insurance Plan, The British Printing Corporation Limited Staff Pension and Life Insurance Plan and The British Printing Corporation Limited Scheme A and also commonly known as the Maxwell Staff Scheme). Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 and all other relevant powers, notice is given that any Member, other beneficiary, Creditor or anyone else having any claim against, or claiming to be beneficially interested in, the assets of the above Plan is required to send written particulars of the claim to The Law Debenture Trust Corporation plc, Trustee of Maxwell Communication Pension Plan, Fifth Floor, 100 Wood Street, London EC2V 7EX, on or before 31 December 2003. After that date the Trustee may proceed to distribute the assets of the Plan to or among or for the benefit of the persons entitled thereto having regard only to the claims, whether formal or not, and interests of which the Trustee then had notice. The Trustee shall not, as regards the assets so distributed, be liable to any person of whose claim the Trustee has not had notice at the time of distribution. If you reply to this notice, please give your full name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number. If the Trustee or the Plan’s administrators, Capita Hartshead, are already in contact with you about the Plan (for example if you have received correspondence from them during the course of 2003 or you are receiving a pension from the Plan), please do not respond to this notice since your interest has already been noted. Note : A large number of employers as well as Maxwell Communication Corporation plc (formerly called BPCC Limited and The British Printing Corporation Limited) participated in the Plan. In addition the benefits of many Members were transferred or merged into the Plan from other pension schemes. Further details are available from the Trustee at the above address. A similar notice was advertised in November 1997.
