TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992
The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry gives notice, pursuant to section 14(1)(b), (3A) and (3AA) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that she has determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications the Inner Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm Order 2003 (“the Order”). The Order was applied for by Offshore Wind Power (Site No 1) Limited, Beaufort House, 23 Grosvenor Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL1 3AW. The Order will authorise Offshore Wind Power (Site No 1) Limited to construct and operate: an offshore wind farm and associated works at Inner Dowsing, 5 kilometres off the coast of Ingoldmells in Lincolnshire. The works will comprise 30 wind turbines, a system of inter-turbine connecting cables and marine feeder cables connecting the wind farm to the foreshore at Skegness. Before making her determination, the Secretary of State considered the environmental statement submitted with the application. She complied with the obligations under section 10 of the Act in respect of all objections which related to the environmental statement. The Secretary of State is required by section 14(3AA) of the Act to describe the measures to be taken to avoid, reduce and, if possible, to remedy any major environmental effects. However, she is satisfied that works authorised by this Order will have no major adverse environmental effects. Copies of the Order (once made) may be obtained from the Stationery Office Limited or through booksellers. J Campbell, Director Licensing and Consents Unit, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET.
