NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that J.D. Ward & Sons, of Perry Farm, Whittington, Oswestry, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole into sandstone, at National Grid Ref SJ 3475 3025, at Perry Farm, Whittington, Oswestry, Shropshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 6.8 cubic metres per hour, 40 cubic metres per day and 3,650 cubic metres per year, each year. The water will be used for supplying the Broiler Unit, agricultural purposes. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Perry Farm, Whittington, Owswestry, Shropshire, between 19 November 2003 and 21 December 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
