Notice is hereby given that a Petition has been presented to Her Majesty in Council on behalf of the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology proposing acceptance of the surrender of their existing Royal Charters and praying for the grant of a Charter of incorporation for a new University of Manchester.
Her Majesty has referred the Petitions to a Committee of the Privy Council. All Petitions for or against such a grant should be delivered to the Privy Council Office, 2 Carlton Gardens, London SW1Y 5AA, on or before 9 January 2004.
