THANET LOCAL PLAN

NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF FURTHER CHANGES TO THE REVISED DRAFT DEPOSIT LOCAL PLAN

Thanet District Council is proposing further changes to the Revised Draft Deposit Plan (March 2003). If and when these further changes are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the area of Thanet District Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting the area. The changes relate to Policies EC1, Land Allocated for Economic Development, and ECNP1, Leisure uses at Eurokent Business Park. Changes have also been made to the supporting text. Copies of these changes are available for public inspection at the Council Offices at Cecil Street, Margate, and can be viewed on the Council’s website www.thanet.gov.uk. Objections to, and representations in respect of, these further changes should be sent in writing to the Head of Policy and Strategy, Thanet District Council, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent CT9 1XZ, before 12.00 midnight on Friday 23 January 2004. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Objections may only be made in respect of the further changes made since the Revised Deposit Draft. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the specified consultation period ending on 23 January 2004, will have the right to have their objections considered at the local plan inquiry or other hearing.
