NOTICE OF THE PREPARATION OF A DEFINITIVE MAP
SURVEY OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY

Notice is hereby given that the Warrington Borough Council in accordance with sections 33 and 34 of Part (VI) The National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 55(1)(a) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 has prepared a Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for that part of the map and statement for Lancashire that was transferred to Cheshire County in 1974 and to Warrington Borough in 1998. The Definitive Map and Statement prepared is in completion of the review of the Definitive Rights of Way Map and Statement for the area commenced by Lancashire County Council in 1966. A copy of the map and statement may be seen, free of charge, at the Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on Fridays. Copies of the map and statement may be bought there at the price of £1. If any person desires to question the definitive map prepared under Part IV of the Act on the ground that the matter is not within the powers of the Act, or on the ground that any requirement of this Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the preparation of the map, or of any draft or provisional map on which that map is based, he may, within 6 weeks after the date of publication of notice of the preparation of the map in accordance with the provisions of the said Part IV in that behalf, make an application to the High Court.
