PROPOSED FELIXSTOWE DOCK AND RAILWAY (LAND ACQUISITION) ORDER
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER
Felixstowe Dock and Railway Company (“the Company”) of Tomline House, The Dock, Felixstowe, Suffolk IP11 2SY, have applied to the Secretary of State for Transport under section 6 of the Transport and Works Act 1992, for an Order under sections 3 and 5 of that Act. The draft Order makes provision for the compulsory acquisition of land or rights to use land or any easements or other rights in land at Felixstowe Dock in the district of Suffolk Coastal in the county of Suffolk. The land referred to above is required in connection with the development of part of the Company’s undertaking at Felixstowe Dock. An application for planning permission relating to part of that land was made to Suffolk Coastal District Council on 6 November 2003 and the remainder of that land (which is covered by water) is the area in Harwich Harbour proposed to be reclaimed under the provisions of the proposed Felixstowe Dock and Railway Harbour Revision Order application for which was made to the Secretary of State on 28 November 2003. Any objections to, or other representations about, the proposals in the application should be sent to the Secretary of State for transport, c/o Department of Transport, TWA Orders Unit, Zone 9/09, Southside, 105 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6DT, on or before 28 July 2004. An objection or representation MUST (i) be received by the Secretary of State on or before 28 July 2004, (ii) be made in writing, (iii) state the grounds of the objection or representation, (iv) indicate who is making the objection or representation, and (v) give an address to which correspondence relating to the objection or representation may be sent. The Secretary of State may make objections and other representations public and will copy them to the applicant for the Order.
