NOTICE OF VARIATION OF AMATEUR RADIO (FOUNDATION) LICENCE

Ofcom hereby gives notice under section 1(4) and section 1E of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949 to holders of the Amateur Radio (Foundation) Licence that, with effect from 0100 on 31 October 2004, the terms, provisions and limitations of each licence shall be varied as follows:

1. In this notice the “Booklet“means the Amateur Radio (Foundation) Licence Terms, Provisions and Limitations Booklet BR68, the terms of which form part of the Licence.
2. As from 0100 on 31 October 2004, each licence shall be read and construed as if the reference in the Licence to the Booklet were a reference to the Booklet containing the following changes.

(1) Sub clause 8(3) shall be deleted and replaced by the following words:

“For the purposes of sub-section 1(4) of the Act, this Licence may be revoked, or its terms, provisions or limitations varied, by a notice in writing of Ofcom, served on the Licensee, or by a general notice addressed to all holders of an Amateur radio (Foundation) Licence published on the Ofcom web site or broadcast nationally by the British Broadcasting Corporation.”

(2) the following extension to the Schedule were inserted after the row 7.000-7.100 MHz (the notes to the Schedule shall remain unchanged).
