PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO THE NORTH WARWICKSHIRE LOCAL PLAN

Mr David Lavender of the Planning Inspectorate has been appointed to hold an Inquiry into the outstanding objections to the North Warwickshire Local Plan. The North Warwickshire Local Plan is being reviewed. The Borough Council has carried out two formal public consultation periods on the planning policies and proposals contained in the Draft Local Plan (2003 and 2004). Everyone had the opportunity to submit comments on these to the Borough Council. The Public Inquiry will enable the objections to be examined by an independent Inspector. The Inspector will consider these and make recommendations to the Council on possible modifications. The opening session will be held at the Council House, South Street, Atherstone, on Tuesday 11 January 2005, at 10.00 am. Only those who have already made objections to the Local Plan will be able to appear at the Inquiry, although the public can observe all Inquiry sessions. Copies of objections are available to view at the Planning Reception, The Council House, South Street, Atherstone, during normal office hours. A summary of objections is available on the Council’s website (www.northwarks.gov.uk). It is likely that the Inquiry will last some weeks. For further information on the topics to be covered and the timetable please contact the Programme Officer, Simon Osborn, on 07967 173644. If you have any other queries on the Local Plan, please contact the Forward Planning Team on 01827 719449/451/250. Full details of the Local Plan and the Inquiry, including the Inquiry timetable can be found on the Council’s website www.northwarks.gov.uk. North Warwickshire Borough Council
