THE ISLINGTON (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO  ) ORDER 200  
ST ANDREW’S 20MPH ZONE

1. Notice is hereby given that London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to reduce vehicle speeds and therefore improve safety by introducing a 20 mph speed limit zone on the following streets: (a) Calthorpe Street, between a point 20 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Phoenix Place and the boundary with the London Borough of Camden; (b) Mount Pleasant, between a point 5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Phoenix Place and the boundary with the London Borough of Camden; (c) Phoenix Place, all that part that lies within the London Borough of Islington; (d) Warner Street, between a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Mount Pleasant and the boundary with the London Borough of Camden. This order would be introduced in conjunction with a 20mph Order for the London Borough of Camden. 3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders at the following location: Traffic and Transportation, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA Further information may be obtained by telephoning Traffic and Transportation on extension 020 7527 8009. 4. Any person who wishes to object or to make other representations about the proposed Order should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Traffic and Transportation, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA, (quoting Ref TMO/1324), within the period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
